We work on a number of Lido projects, most of them existing and local authority owned. Some are more or less derelict, others still in use. Funding is always the problem even with a robust and comprehensive cost plan.
There is also an entire new Lido as part of the unusually sophisticated amenities planned for a large new mixed development of which some of the early office and residential buildings are either complete or under construction. The Lido will have to wait for the site to reach critical mass but is one of a number of sophisticated leisure facilities distinguishing the project from the competition. Certainly, a Lido does not appear to be included in the typical offer of Barratt, Taylor Wimpey or Crest Nicholson. At least not one of ours.
